About Yi

Yi Dai designs and programs games, and considers himself a history buff.

He is based in California and has recently graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science specializing in Game Development from The University of Southern California.

He has worked on numerous game projects, led and collaborated with teams from small to large. He has been a director, a designer, a programmer, a producer, a usability researcher, and other roles. Some of his proudest works include the advanced game project he led developing in a team of 46 called Eye 4 Eye. It is a first-person detective adventure puzzle game where you uncover a mysterious case through examining items and utilizing a search engine in a futuristic dystopian world. The game so far has received 100% positive reviews on Steam. Another is his very first published game, the 3D first-person horror game Kach which was developed by a two-person team and has received more than 150 positive reviews on Steam.

Having also studied History along with Computer Science during undergrad, his dream is to design unique, fun, and meaningful games about different historical events. He wants those games to make a positive impact and encourage people to learn more about history.

When he is not making or playing games, you can find him reading classical fiction and history books, recommending underrated shows and movies to friends, and throwing football with everyone he knows.

Hit him up on LinkedIn, whether you want to game or connect professionally.
